Does acupuncture hurt?

No, acupuncture should not hurt. A momentary prick might be felt around the needle as it is inserted, eventually creating a dull pressure or tingling around the area during the treatment. Most people are amazed by how relaxed they feel during and after the treatment. This occurs because the treatment is comfortable and gentle.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments needed is unique to the individual. For most chronic conditions, 5-7 treatments, once a week, tends to offer the best outcome. Some people notice an immediate improvement in their health while for others acupuncture tends to have a cumulative effect over several visits.

What makes Wisteria Healing Arts the best choice?

Randy has over 30 years of clinical experience both in Eastern and Western medicine. His gentleness, humor and compassion will set your mind at ease as your body heals.

Randy’s love and passion for his healing work will become apparent during your visits with him, as he welcomes you with warmth and tea prepared in the traditional style of gong fu. He will confer with you and he will LISTEN. He will educate you about your particular issues and, in addition to acupuncture or hypnosis, will provide you with the tools and knowledge you need to help yourself.

We take our time with you: One to two hours for the first visit and 60 minute follow-ups.

Acupuncture may involve other techniques like cupping, moxibustion, and shiatsu as needed.

Your treatment is personally tailored to your needs and specifically reflects your unique individual dynamics.

Clinic is open Tuesday through Friday. The first patient is seen at 9 am and last is seen at 6 pm.
